Lowe's Senior CLASS Award - CIAA Division

Goldsmith will graduate in May 2012 with a degree in sports management, physical education and health. He has been on the Dean’s List multiple times at ECSU and is a member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. He currently has a 3.3 grade point average. Goldsmith was selected as a team captain for his junior and senior seasons. He is counted on being the glue keeping this year veteran team playing well together. Goldsmith leads by example, showing hard work on and off the court. For the past two years, Goldsmith has shown great pride in visiting local elementary schools, such as J.C. Sawyer and P.W. Moore. He contributed by showing kids how fun the game of basketball can be, helped by being a good example of an academic scholar and explaining the importance of college. Goldsmith also donates clothes and shoes to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter Thrift Store in Elizabeth City. Goldsmith was selected preseason All-CIAA team in 2010 after averaging 10.7 points and leading the team with 7.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 24 starts his sophomore year. Entering his senior year, Goldsmith’s career stats are 10 points and 6 rebounds.
