Jennings has been on the Dean’s List her sophomore and junior years. The lone senior on the team, Jennings leads by example on and off the court. Her work ethic causes her teammates to be better players. In the fall of 2010, Jennings’ grandmother passed away. Her grandmother helped raise Jennings from birth, and the two were very close. Jennings struggled with her passing, but has become stronger as a person and as a student-athlete. Jennings donates much of her time to the Murfreesboro, NC, community. She tutors at the local middle school, donates clothes, toys, and food to local churches, and cooks at a homeless shelter. In addition, she participates in Relay for Life, works at the Chowan football games, and spoke with middle school students at the 2010 CIAA Basketball Tournament. Jennings has led Chowan in scoring the past two seasons, and is again leading them this season. She has scored 917 points in her career. She was named to the 2010 All-CIAA and All-CIAA Tournament Teams, as well as the 2011 Pre-Season All-CIAA Team.
