Heading into his senior year, Hutchinson was named a preseason All-American. He was also selected to the Ted Hendricks Award, Chuck Bednarik Award, and Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch Lists. Following his performance against Washington, Hutchinson was named the Reese’s Senior Bowl Player of the Week, Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week, and was a PFF National Team of the Week selection.

In 2019, he was named to the All-Big Ten third team.

For his career, Hutchinson has 18 starts in 31 career games played. He has compiled 55-51-106 tackles while also recording 15.0 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, and six pass breakups.
