Classroom

Lee carries a GPA of 3.52 into her senior season at Jacksonville. In the fall of 2010, she was named to the Dean’s List, and has followed that by being named to the President’s List in the Fall of 2012 and Spring of 2013. In 2011, Lee was inducted into JU’s School of Education Honor Society (Kappa Delta Pi). Last spring, she was named the Vice President of Kappa Delta Pi. In each of the last two seasons, she has earned her way onto the Atlantic Sun All-Academic team. On track to graduate in the Spring of 2014, Lee hopes to pursue her Master’s in education and would like to teach Special Education in grades K-6.

Character

From Head Coach Brian Copham:
Lee has been one of the hardest-working players during her time here at JU. She is constantly pushing herself on and off the field to be her best. She works incredibly hard and commits whole-heartedly to be her best and push the team to be the best possible. She also gives her time to work with other players to help them improve. She also gives back by volunteering with different organizations to pass on some of the work ethic and dedication that has allowed her to have her successes.  Lastly, she has been an all-around great teammate. She is a friend to everyone, a motivator, a competitor, and leader by her actions every time she is on the field, the weight room, and at other team activities.

Community

As an elementary education major, Lee has worked with the Boys and Girls Club of Jacksonville, volunteering and providing one-on-one tutoring in literacy. She has also taken time out of her schedule to volunteer as an assistant coach with a local girl’s youth soccer league. With the School of Education Honor Society, she has traveled to different schools around the Jacksonville area to work with the Literacy Alive campaign as well as the Ronald McDonald House.

Competition

A full-time starter almost from the day she stepped on-campus, Lee has only missed one match in three seasons with the Dolphins. In that time, she has played in 57 matches and made 54 starts. Last season, as a junior, she started every match and was named First Team All-Atlantic Sun. To start off this season, she was awarded with the Atlantic Sun Preseason Defender of the Year honor, as well as a spot on the Preseason First Team All-Atlantic Sun team. Though she rarely accumulates stats in her role as a center back, her value to the team comes in denying goals to the opposition. In three years at JU, the Dolphins have recorded 23 shutouts with Lee on the field. Over that time, the opposition has scored 59 goals on 780 shots, a shot percentage of just .076.
