Cumulative GPA is a 3.6 after Spring 2006 with a major in Science with the Life Sciences option, plans to attend medical school, made Dean’s List 5 out of 6 semesters and plans to graduate in Spring 2008. Academic All-Big Ten (2005 and 2006). Second team CoSIDA Academic All-District (2006).
Character
Team co-captain for the second-straight year, played for Team Canada at the FIBA World Basketball Championships in September 2006, always willing to go the extra mile and spend the extra time at practice in order to improve herself and her teammates.
Community
Has volunteered her time working at the United Way Day of Caring, working as a spotter for therapeutic horseback riding lessons for children through the Easter Seals, participating in the American Cancer Society Walk-a-thon, serving as an official for Special Olympics, among other various community outreach programs. Also very involved in reach out to the children in the community through the Rene’s Dunkers program.
Competition
Leads the team in scoring, rebounding, blocks and field goal percentage this season. Preseason All-Big Ten selection in 2006-2007. Second-team All-Big Ten (coaches) and third-team All-Big Ten (media) accolades in 2005-06. Team MVP in 2006.
