Classroom

Hyde was named to the Division I-AAA Scholar-Athlete Team and was selected as the Women’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year. A Capital One Academic All-America Division I Second Team selection, she was also a Summit League Academic All-League honoree.

Character

Hyde is a truly kind person. She is one of the hardest working players - regardless of gender - and is the true definition of a “student-athlete”. She is great with kids and enjoys spending time with them.

Community

Hyde has worked with: IPFW Color Stomp (September 2013), Fort Wayne Parade (August 2013), Riley’s Children Hospital Cancer Center Visit, Indianapolis, IN (February 2013), Elementary School Reading Program, New Haven, IN (2013), Feed My Starving Children, Pathway Community Church (2013, Suicide Prevention Walk (2011-2013), Member of IPFW Student-Athlete Leadership Team (2011-2013), Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Out (2010-2013), Mission Trip with Campus Ministries, NYC, New York, (July 2012), Fort For Fitness Volunteer (2011-2012), IPFW Health Fair Volunteer (2010-2012).

Competition

Hyde was named the 2012-13 Summit League Player of the Year, to the First Team All-Summit League and was a 2013 Madness All-Mid Major Women’s Basketball Second Team selection. The two-time Summit League Player of the Week on Dec. 3 and Dec. 31 she was also named College Sports Madness Player of the Week on Feb. 18. She became the 16th player in IPFW Women’s Basketball history to reach 1,000 points and tied the IPFW single-game scoring record with 43 points at Southern Illinois (11/29). She shot 16-for-26 from the floor placing her in a tie for second all-time with the most field goals made in a single game and fourth for most field goals attempted.
