Espinoza-Hunter is pursuing a master’s degree in psychological studies at Seton Hall. She carries a 3.61 GPA with a concentration in sports psychology.

She was named to the 2020-21 BIG EAST All-Academic Team.

Character

Even though she has only been at Seton Hall for a short time, Espinoza-Hunter was named a team captain this season. She is always one of the hardest working players in the program - whether it be arriving at practices early or staying late.

Espinoza-Hunter is a terrific representative of the program and handles all media interviews well.

Community

Since arriving at Seton Hall, Espinoza-Hunter has been an extremely active participant in the community. She has volunteered in Thanksgiving basket giveaways for families in Newark, N.J and made visits to local elementary schools. Espinoza-Hunter has also participated in a Heroes with Police event that took place over the summer.

She also helped sort collections of food and assisted the donation to local families in Newark during the pandemic.

Competition

Espinoza-Hunter joined Seton Hall during the middle of the season last year - but immediately took the conference by storm. She has scored in double figures in all but one game, reaching 20 points seven times, since her arrival. Espinoza-Hunter was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week in consecutive weeks.

She ranked third in the BIG EAST in points per game (18.6) and twice made seven three-pointers in one game.  Espinoza-Hunter’s made three-pointers per game mark (3.1) led the conference by a wide margin. She was named to the All-BIG East first team for her play. On January 20th, she recorded a career-high 30 points in a win over St. John’s.

Espinoza-Hunter entered this year as a preseason all-conference selection and was named to the Cheryl Miller Award Watch List.
