Lewis sports a 3.7 GPA and is working on a master’s degree in natural and applied sciences (health care administration) after earning a degree in management in 3 1/2 years. He is a first-team academic all-Big 12 honoree and has earned numerous academic awards, including two appearances on the Dean’s Honor Roll (3.5-3.99 GPA). Lewis plans to work as a clinical manager after college with a career goal to become a hospital administrator.

Character

One of the clear-cut leaders on the team both on and off the field, Lewis’s career goal speaks to his high quality of character - he wants to run a hospital.

Community

Lewis currently assists patients at Stillwater’s Warren Clinic with outpatient care including ER and medical insurance needs. He has volunteered at numerous functions, including providing Thanksgiving baskets for the needy with Harvest II, serving as a guest speaker at Sunnybrook Christian Church and assisting with Pete’s Partners, which is Oklahoma State’s youth fan club.

Competition

A three-year starter on the offensive line for the Cowboys, Lewis is part of what should be the winningest class in Oklahoma State history. He helped the Cowboys to three consecutive bowl games and two bowl wins. He is a key member of the offensive line that paved the way for an offense that ranked in the top 10 nationally each of the last two years. He has appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s 2009 College Football Preview.
