Classroom

Armstrong was named to the SEC Academic Honor roll as both a freshman and a sophomore. She is on track to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management in the summer of 2013.

Character

Armstrong is an outstanding representative of the Lady Bulldogs on and off the floor who always has time for fans following home games.

Community

Armstrong helped raise funds to purchase and then assemble 60 bicycles for worthy children at Christmas. She visited the Athens Boys & Girls Club as part of “Get Off the Bench” program which donated equipment to the club and then demonstrated the proper usage of that equipment. She visited local schools as a celebrity reader and to speak about the value of education and its balance with athletics.

Competition

Armstrong was named first-team All-SEC by league coaches following the 2011-12 season. In SEC games only, she was ranked among the league’s top-10 statistical leaders in nine of 13 categories kept - No. 7 in ppg, No. 8 in rpg, No. 3 in spg, No. 6 def. rpg, No. 6 in apg, No. 6 in MP, No. 7 in bpg, No. 8 in FG pct. and No. 9 in ast.-to-TOs. During 2011-12, Armstrong led UGA in total rebounds, assists, blocks and steals.
