Antoine Caldwell graduated from the University of Alabama in just three years with a degree in general studies. He is on track to finish his second major in consumer science in December of 2008. Caldwell is also taking real estate courses, so he can pursue a career in real estate when his playing days are over. Caldwell was a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2007 and carries a 2.65 GPA.

Character

Caldwell is in his fourth-year starting on Alabama’s offensive line with 36 career starts and counting to his credit. He is a two-year captain for the Crimson Tide. Caldwell is the vocal leader of the team whose actions both on and off the field speaks louder than words. He won the 2008 Mal Moore Leadership Award for his guidance of the Alabama football team.

Community

Antoine’s been heavily involved with the Angel Tree Project over the past four years at the University of Alabama. He has also spoken at schools across the state of Alabama about many subjects, including achieving your dreams, the importance of school, being a leader and staying focused on your goals and dreams. Schools he has spoken at includes: Northington Elementary, Holt High School and the Eastwood Men of Tomorrow. He also participated in “Read Across America” at the Moundville Elementary school. He visited the children at the Shreveport hospital during the Tide’s Independence Bowl preparations.

Competition

Caldwell has anchored the Crimson Tide’s offensive line over the past four seasons. He was a freshman All-America selection in 2005 and started the first 32 games of his career. A member of the preseason watch list for the Rimington Trophy, which is awarded to the nation’s top center and the Outland Trophy that goes to the nation’s top interior lineman.
