Classroom

Adams has maintained a GPA of 3.74 throughout his collegiate career and will graduate in May with a degree in Entrepreneurial Management. He will more than likely continue on to graduate school. He has been a member of Conference Honor Rolls each of his four years in college. Named 2007 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District.

Character

He leads by example in the classroom and is a genuine leader both on the field and in the locker room. He transferred to TCU in the spring of his freshman year and walked-on to the team as an outfielder, earning a starting spot by the first game a month later. He always arrives to take early batting practice and is one of the go-to guys for recruiting visits.

Community

Adams is always available to participate in community events sponsored by the athletics department. He has taken part in the Super Frog Reading Program each year, going to area schools and reading to children. He has participated in visits to Cooks Children’s Hospital on numerous occasions and in a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Foundation at a TCU Football game. Adams has also assisted with Habitat for Humanity and Score A Goal in the Classroom.

Competition

He will leave TCU having played the most games of any baseball player to ever play at TCU. Adams was named Conference USA Postseason Tournament MVP as a freshman and to the 2007 First-team All-Mountain West Conference. He was selected as a preseason all-conference performer. Prior to his freshman season, TCU had only been to three NCAA Regionals in school history. Since his arrival, TCU has become one of just 26 schools to appear in the last three NCAA Regionals. He has helped lead the Frogs to their first conference regular season title in 2006 since the 1994 season.
