Stille enters the season having earned both his undergraduate degree and a master’s degree.

In his time as a Husker, Stille has been named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, CoSIDA Academic All-District VII twice, Academic All-Big Ten four times, and Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll seven times. He was also named to a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy in 2020.

Stille is currently taking additional classes as a nutrition and health sciences major.

Character

Stille has been a leader for the program, both on and off the field.

He served as the team’s representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in 2019 and 2020 and has also been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for four years.

In 2019, Stille was Nebraska’s nominee for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.

Community

Stille has been extremely active in the community at Nebraska.

He has been a participant in the Diversity and Inclusion Summit, where he spoke at the Minority Student Collective Rally in 2020. He has also volunteered with the Husker Football Road Race, raising money for UNMC and childhood cancer research. For the past five years, Stille has been a TeamMates Youth Mentor as he donates his time to help.

Earlier this year, Stille co-founded a free youth football camp for boys and girls. He was able to get sponsorships to pay the cost for 150 kids to attend free of charge.

For his efforts, Stille has been named to the Tom Osborne and Brooke Berringer Citizenship Team five times. He was also one of 27 Nebraska student-athletes recognized for the 2019 Sam Foltz Hero 27 Leadership Award.

Competition

Stille is a three-year starter and fifth-year letter winner on the defensive line for the Huskers. Early in the season, Stille has already recorded 14 tackles.

In 2020, Stille was named an All-Big Ten selection after totaling 27 tackles. In his redshirt freshman season, Stille led the Huskers in both sacks and TFLs, becoming the only freshman in program history to accomplish such a feat. He led All-Big Ten freshman with 10 TFLs in conference play.

For his career at Nebraska, Stille has recorded 13.0 sacks and 25 tackles for loss.
