Price, who is coming off of a 4.0 GPA spring semester, is an unquestioned leader of the Ohio State football team. He is a two-time team captain as voted on by his teammates, and he was one of three team representatives at Big Ten Media Days this past summer.
Community
Price travelled to Jamaica this summer as part of the Athletic Department’s Soles4Souls program, immersing himself in the Jamaican culture while being exposed to the impact giving a pair of shoes to those in need can have on a community. He is also a regular on Ohio State community service efforts at local food banks, elementary schools and hospitals.
Competition
Price was a first-team All-American in 2016 (AFCA), and he is a leading contender for the Rimington Award this season as the nation’s top center. He was part of an offensive line last year that was one of three finalists for the Joe Moore Offensive Line of the Year award. He helped power the Buckeyes to a No. 1 ranking in the Big Ten in rushing, and 11th nationally in 2016. He has started 41 consecutive games entering the season, he is on pace to break the school record for consecutive starts (50), and he could tie or break the record for most games played (55) in a career.
