Business and Marketing Education

McManus helped Minnesota set a new program record with a 3.35 cumulative grade point average as a team in the Fall of 2020, while the men’s hockey team recorded a grade point average of 3.46. This was second in program history after last spring’s 3.64.

McManus was voted as an alternate captain for the team as a senior.

Representing the United States in international competition, he earned a gold medal at the 2016 World Junior A Challenge with the U.S. Junior Select Team. McManus also helped the U.S. Under-18 Select Team to a runner-up finish at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup.

McManus participates in Gopher Hockey’s annual Teddy Bear toss to benefit Masonic Children’s Hospital, as well as Minnesota’s pen pal program with young fans, the annual Skate with the Gophers program, and the Rink Roots program.

As of February 9th, McManus is Minnesota’s active leading scorer with 78 points in 125 career games. He has improved his scoring numbers every year of his career and is on pace to do the same as a senior.
