Brenna holds a 3.87 GPA as a double major in marketing and professional sales. She was a 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District and 2018-19 Academic All Big Ten selection. She received the IU Kelley School of Business Kelley Coin Award and was a Founders Scholar Award recipient.
Character
A two-year captain, Wise is a natural born leader who has helped change the culture at Indiana and turned it from a bottom of the Big Ten into a nationally recognized program. She is a high character individual who garners respect on and off the court and in the classroom at IU’s world-renowned Kelley School of Business. She earned the 2019 Big Ten Sportsmanship award as Indiana’s female recipient. She’s a smiling face to everyone she meets and lives by the team’s mantra of graduate, win, serve.
Community
Brenna is an Executive Member of the IU Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC). She has volunteered her time with countless organizations including Hoosiers Helping Hoosiers, Emerging Leaders, Hoosier HEROES, Hoosier Readers, IU Best Buddies, Camp Riley, Hoosier Outrun Cancer, Candy Stripe Crew event for disabled and handicapped adult and children, Slam Dunk for Literacy and Habitat for Humanity.
Competition
Brenna was a 2019 All-Big Ten Second Team selection. She led Indiana in rebounding last season averaging 6.8 rebounds and scored the team’s third-best 12.0 points per game as a redshirt junior. She led IU, the Big Ten and was seventh in the NCAA with a 91.6 free throw percentage (109-for-119), which is the second-best free throw percentage in a season in school history. She had a team-high four double-doubles and connected on 52 3-pointers during the season while shooting a team-high 41.3 percent from beyond-the-arc. Brenna also shot well from the floor at 43.6 percent, scored in double figures 19 times and led in rebounds 19 times. She also added 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Brenna has tallied over 1,000 points in her career as she played in her first two seasons at Pittsburgh.
