Brianna Jones holds a 3.115 GPA as a dental hygiene major and works diligently in her school work.

Character

Jones is known as one of the nicest women anyone could meet. A soft-spoken Southerner, Jones is almost always smiling off the field and willing to do just about anything for her team and teammates. On the diamond and in the circle, she flips a switch and is the ultimate competitor.

Community

Jones is active in the southern Illinois community. She regularly volunteers for community service projects such as helping at the local animal shelter and volunteering at the Carbondale Public Library among other activities.

Competition

A three-time All-MVC First Team selection, Jones will go down as one of the best pitchers in program history at a school known for having good pitching. She is a strikeout shy of 500 for her career and 18 wins shy of breaking the school record for career wins. Last season, she led the MVC in innings pitched (232.1), wins (26), appearances (43) and tied for the league lead in starts (30). She also finished top-10 in the league in ERA (2.06), opposing batting average (.240) and strikeouts (211). Her 26 wins ranked her 16th nationally in 2018.
