Classroom

Stonewall is a dedicated student who competes in the classroom as ferociously as on the court. She is a Dean’s List and DePaul Athletics Honor Roll scholar with a 3.59 GPA. Stonewall is a three-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and a three-time recipient of the Shirley Becker Academic Award.

Character

Stonewall is a worthy role model for children and enjoyed working with them last summer as a counselor at a day camp based out of DePaul. She has the kind of engaging personality and genuine affection for people that made her the most popular counselor in the camp. Stonewall is the kind of young lady who would not hesitate to help someone in need. As a team leader, she has the presence and character that inspires her teammates to achieve beyond their limits.

Community

Stonewall has always been very active in pursuits outside of basketball. It’s no surprise Stonewall has volunteered for Special Olympics sports clinics, Special Olympics All-Sports Day, the Special Olympics 50th anniversary celebration and Day of Inclusion at Soldier Field. She has also cooked food at the Sheffield Garden Walk to raise funds for St. Vincent de Paul, worked the Misericordia Home candy drive, the Chicago Park District Fitness Fest for underprivileged children, Hoops in the Hood and St. Vincent de Paul Service Day. For four years, Stonewall has made blankets for underprivileged children at the St. Vincent de Paul Day Care Center and has also worked as a Chicago Marathon volunteer.

Competition

Stonewall is a fierce competitor who has strapped the team on her back during the times when things looked a little bleak. After trailing practically the entire game last season at the BIG EAST tournament title showdown against favored Marquette, Stonewall made the biggest play of her career. With her team down two, Stonewall scored on a three-point play with five seconds left to secure the title and automatic berth into the Blue Demons’ 17th consecutive NCAA tournament. She was the unanimous choice as Most Outstanding Player. Stonewall is a 2019-20 Preseason All-BIG EAST selection after being named All-BIG EAST Second Team last season. She is also a nominee for the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Award Watch List.
