Classroom

In May of 2020, Williams earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism and media studies from UNLV.

He became the first in program history to be named a member of the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, earning that distinction this summer. Williams was also named UNLV’s Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2020-21.

In his career as a Rebel, Williams has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District twice, Academic All-Mountain West four times, UNLV Dean’s List four times, and is a two-time nominee for the William V. Campbell Trophy.

He is currently pursuing his master’s in general studies.

Character

Williams is a team leader for the Rebels, both on and off the field. He has served as a weekly captain for the team and is a true representative of the program.

Recently, Williams co-hosted the UNLV Athletic Department’s Back to School welcome event on Zoom for 515 student-athletes and 200 staff members.

Community

Williams is an active participant in the local Las Vegas and his home community of Fresno.

Competition

Williams enters the season with the most career rushing yards gained on the FBS level of any active running back.

He ranks fourth in UNLV history in rushing yards and is on track to become the new record holder. Williams also ranks fourth in school history in 100-yard games, of which he has 11.

He became the fourth Rebel to ever lead a conference in rushing yards during a regular season when he recorded 1,527 en route to earning All-Mountain West first team honors in 2019.
