Character

Clive is a multiple year representative for the men’s lacrosse team on Siena’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Says head coach John Svec on Clive, “Colin has been making an impact on the field and in the classroom since his freshman year. He consistently leads by example on the practice and game fields as well as throughout the campus community. During his time at Siena, Colin has taken part in numerous volunteer activities such as hosting meals for family’s staying at the Ronald McDonald house in the City of Albany, introducing young lacrosse players from Harlem to the fundamentals of the game during a college experience visit, and helping elderly neighbors care for their properties in nearby communities. Colin enters his senior year ready to continue making an impact on both his teammates and the Siena community.”

Community

Clive coordinated and participated in the Miles for Matt Foundation. As part of Siena Athletics’ BlueShield of Northeastern New York “Saints in the Community” program, Clive has cooked dinners at the local Ronald McDonald House, served as a guest reader to local schoolchildren, introduced young lacrosse players from Harlem to the fundamentals of the game and helped elderly neighbors care for their properties in the nearby community just to name a few. Clive, along with his teammates, hosted “Faceoff for a Cause” this fall which raised $8,000 for Wounded Warrior Project and participated in “For Marco,” raising funds and awareness for young fan and honorary teammate Marco Daidone who is battling osteosarcoma.

Competition

Clive enters his senior year with 109 career points on 86 goals. Last spring he was named a First Team All-MAAC selection after tying for the conference lead in goals (33) and ranking fourth in points (46). As a sophomore, Clive ranked sixth in the MAAC in goals (31) and 10th in points (37). As a freshman, Clive was a two-time MAAC Rookie of the Week and was named the MAAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player after leading the Saints to the conference title. Clive also participated in the 2012 European Lacrosse Championships, scoring 17 goals including a hat trick in the championship game in leading England to a perfect 8-0 record and the title.
