Classroom

Sverrisdottir ranks as one of the top students on the TCU women’s basketball team. She’s on track to graduate with a 3.09 GPA in communications. She earned a spot on the academic All-Mountain West Conference team for the first time in her career last spring. She was named to the TCU Dean’s List and was a TCU Scholar after posting a perfect 4.0 GPA in the last fall semester.

Character

Sverrisdottir has been a major leader for TCU since arriving on campus three years ago. She has served as a starter since her first career game and enters her senior season with 94 starts in 97 career games and is on track to break the TCU career record in both categories. Her play helped lead TCU to its first regular-season conference championship in eight years last spring.

Community

Sverrisdottir has taken part in several community-service projects, including elementary school and hospital visits and serving as a volunteer for the area food bank and YMCA. She also has participated in Cowtown Brush-Up, an event to help paint houses for local elderly individuals and struggling families, and is a regular participant in KinderFrogs, a program where TCU student-athletes make visits to volunteer at a local special-needs school.

Competition

Sverrisdottir is the reigning Mountain West Conference Player of the Year and was an honorable-mention All-America selection by both the Associated Press and WBCA last season. She enters her final season as the only Frog player ever to amass 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 300 assists in a career. For each of the last two seasons, she has been the only MWC player to rank among the league’s top eight players in points, rebounds, assists and steals. She enters her senior campaign with career averages of 12.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
