Western Michigan University
Biomedical Sciences

McGing is a three-time NCHC Academic All-Conference selection and boasts a 3.32 GPA in biomedical sciences.

McGing was an assistant captain last season and is serving as the lone captain of the 2019-20 season. The St. Louis Blues’ draft pick is a leader both on and off the ice, encouraging his teammates to succeed in athletics and in the classroom.

As the captain, McGing serves as the lead for the WMU Hockey team’s various community events. This summer, the team helped Kalamazoo Habitat for Humanity clear out properties for the construction of new homes for those less fortunate in the community.

McGing and the team have also volunteered time to help stock the pantry at Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.

McGing is a fifth round draft pick of the St. Louis Blues. He was a Second Team All-NCHC selection last season after helping the Broncos to a third place finish in the NCHC and home ice in the NCHC Playoffs. He had a career-high 30 points on 16 goals and 14 assists. His 16 goals were time for the team lead.

Entering the 2019-2020 season, he has played in 112 games, scoring 33 goals and 49 assists for 82 points and is on track to break 100 career points.
