Sanders graduated from the Air Force Academy with a degree in systems engineering, boasting a 3.92 GPA.

He is currently studying for his master’s in management science and engineering at Stanford.

Character

Sanders has made an immediate impact in his short time at Stanford.

In 2019, Sanders was named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. He was also named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy and a finalist for both the Wuerffel Trophy and Jasson Witten Man of the Year.

Community

Sanders is working to implement a new program for the Stanford team called ‘Adopt-a-Cardinal,’ where the QBs work with local students in the area to build relationships and encourage them throughout the year. He is also a member of the Student-Athlete Community Service Group.

While at Air Force, Sanders was involved with Undivided. It is a non-profit focused on strengthening communities and helping community members create positive change in their spheres of influence. Sanders also served as a volunteer at several Fellowship of Christian Athletes summer camps and led a bible study for his classmates.

Competition

Sanders, who mainly serves as a short-yardage quarterback, has totaled three touchdowns in four games.

Prior to joining Stanford, Sanders played in 16 games with six starts at Air Force. He totaled 1,709 yards (953 passing, 756 rushing) with 13 touchdowns there.
