Jimmy Morrissey

Morrissey earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing, graduating cum laude with a 3.42 cumulative GPA. He is now enrolled in Pitt’s Katz Graduate School of Business. Morrissey is a three-time honoree on the All-ACC Academic Football Team.

Morrissey received induction into Pitt’s prestigious Blue-Gold Society, an undergraduate organization comprised of top students who serve as ambassadors for the university and Pitt Alumni Association. He originally joined the Panthers as a walk-on in 2016 and earned a scholarship one year later. Morrissey is now a two-time team captain.

An annual participant in the football program’s “Day of Service,” Morrissey has visited various non-profit organizations aimed at mentoring and inspiring the youth. During the holiday season, he gathered and wrapped gifts for needy local families who could not afford their own presents.

Morrissey is considered the top center in the Atlantic Coast Conference and a highly viable 2021 NFL Draft prospect. He was named All-ACC first team in 2019-20, a year after earning third-team honors in 2018-19. Morrissey was named a preseason Phil Steele All-American and candidate for the Rimington Trophy, presented to college football’s top center.
