Classroom
Joseph Davidson is a double major in finance and mathematics with a 3.957 grade-point average. He was a first-team Academic All-American in 2016 and second-team Academic All-American in 2015. He is a three-time MAC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-MAC (2014 - 2016).
Character
Davidson is one of the most respected players on the team. He is a member of the team’s Leadership Council, a group voted on by the student-athletes on the team.
Community
Davidson took part in the food drive on MLK Day Jr. weekend, gathering canned foods. He also assisted with RallyCap Sports, a non-profit organization providing recreational sports opportunities for children and young adults with special needs.
Competition
Davidson is one of the nation’s top punters. He was a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award in 2016, ranks among the nation’s leaders in punting average and net punting average, and led the country with nine 60+ yard punts in 2016. He was named first-team All-MAC in 2016 and named fourth-team All-America by Phil Steele.
