Character
DeMuth is the epitome of a student-athlete as she has been able to balance her love for basketball with her desire to work in the legal field upon graduation. She has been very good with Ball State’s fans and Cardinal Kids Club members, especially after games. She is one of the players that always stays around following a game to sign autographs and converse with the fans. Also, as one of the team’s top players, she is always accommodating to the media with her numerous requests.
Community
DeMuth participated in the Cardinals’ “Adopt a Grandparent” program in conjunction with the Westminster Village Retirement home. She also participated in the American Heart Walk and has taken part in Habitat for Humanity.
Competition
DeMuth garnered first-team All-MAC honors as a junior and is a member of the preseason All-MAC squad this year. She led the Cardinals in scoring at 15.5 points per game and in rebounding at 8.8 boards per contest. She was named All-MAC Tournament last season, and picked up BSU Thanksgiving and SPC Holiday Classic most valuable player honors. She scored in double figrues in 27 of 31 games as a junior. She is the school’s second all-time leader in career free throws made (328), third in career free throws attempted (439), third all-time in double-doubles (24), fifth all-time in career rebounds (731) ninth all-time in career steals (148) and 18th all-time in career points (1,016).
