Harvard University

Katie Duncan is a psychology major and has amassed a cumulative 3.835 GPA while recording a 3.918 this past semester. She is on track to graduate in May of this year and earned CoSida Academic All-District honors in 2018.

Prior to the school year, Duncan was unanimously voted as co-captain for the 2018-19 softball season to continue showcasing her leadership skills while providing the voice between the team and coaches.

As part of her individual and team initiative to give back to the community, Duncan partners with the Harvard University Dining Services to partake in the Food for Free program. The senior assists in providing over 30,700 meals a year to those who need it within the local community. Each week, the volunteers organize the unused food throughout the campus and deliver it to the local community through food pantries, shelters, etc.

Additionally, Duncan participates in the team’s outreach of Girls Group, a self-defense class for young girls in the Boston area. Not only is it an opportunity to connect with the local community but also to make connections as fearless and empowered role models.

Throughout her career with the Crimson, Duncan has accumulated numerous accolades such as Ivy League Pitcher of the Year and first-team All-Ivy in 2018 and second-team All-Ivy in 2017. Additionally, the senior was named to the 2018 NFCA All-Region Third Team. She is a four-time Ivy League Pitcher of the Week, and she has collected 153 career strikeouts with an ERA of 3.59.
