Classroom

Dolesh is a health studies major, minoring in both 2-D media studies and 3-D media studies. She carries a 3.46 GPA and has twice earned Dean’s List during her career for achieving above a 3.5 GPA for the semester. She is on schedule to earn her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology & Health in May and plans to attend graduate school for art therapy following her soccer career. She is a member of the American Art Therapy Association. Dolesh is a two-time Academic All-Ohio selection by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA), while she has also earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference and Academic All-District accolades once each during her career.

Character

Dolesh has been a quiet leader on Miami’s team since she arrived in Oxford, but began to blossom as a junior, helping lead the RedHawks to a pair of MAC championships and an NCAA Tournament win. She was chosen as the team’s captain for the 2013 season after her leadership shown on last year’s team. She will look to lead the RedHawks to a repeat MAC title and more in 2013. Dolesh has overcome her fair share of hardship to be successful at Miami, as well. When she was just 14 in high school, her father passed away. Then, during her sophomore year at Miami, her grandmother passed away, causing her to miss two games. Miami lost both games without her, its first two losses of the year. Dolesh then returned the following weekend and helped the RedHawks go on a four-game winning streak.

Community

Dolesh has been involved with multiple outreach programs, along with her teammates, while at Miami. She helped plan a picnic for local hospital cancer patients and survivors of McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, held in conjunction with a home soccer game next to the field. She also helped gather toys around Christmas time to be given to the local family resource center and distributed to under-privileged children.

Competition

Dolesh is one of the best RedHawks to ever step foot in Oxford. In three seasons at Miami, she has scored 24 goals, dished out 14 assists and totaled 62 points. She had her best year as a junior last year, tallying nine goals and eight assists, which rank in Miami’s single-season top five all-time, and finished with 26 points, all three of which ranked in the top 10 in the Mid-American Conference for the season. She also logged 1,997 minutes last season, most on the team, as she started all 24 games while helping Miami win the MAC Regular-Season and Tournament Championships and leading them to a NCAA Tournament win over Tennessee, as she scored the first goal for Miami. For her career, she has appeared in 60 games, starting 52. Dolesh is a three-time All-MAC selection, being named to the First Team each of the last two seasons. She was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team in 2010 and was tabbed Second-Team All-Great Lakes Region this past year as a junior. Dolesh has five career game-winning goals, including three as a freshman. She has scored at least seven goals all three years of her career and has a pair of multi-goal games during her time at Miami. She has tallied a career-best four points in a match three different times as a RedHawk. Dolesh has twice been named to the All-Ohio Team by the OCSA and was a two-time MAC Player of the Week as a sophomore.
