Community

In 2009 Sirus volunteered at East Nashville Ministries. She has spent evenings with kids the last four years at Youth Encouragement Services, has participated in Penny Wars, a contest between teams to raise money for Y.E.S. She has worked at the Breast Cancer Walk the last two years, the Special Olympics, Angel Tree, and Ronald McDonald House, while also serving as a volunteer at the Lakeshore Assisted Living facility.

Competition

Sirus is highly decorated for her accomplishments on the field. In 2009 she was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Conference first team, Atlantic Sun All-Tournament team, and was an Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honoree. She wound up tied for second in the Atlantic Sun in doubles, third in hits, fourth in batting average and slugging percentage, fifth in on-base percentage, and sixth in runs scored. In 2008, Sirus was a second team All-Atlantic Sun selection. She hit at a .385 clip, which was good enough for fourth in the conference. She earned a spot on the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman team in 2007. Sirus would finish that freshman year in the top five on the team in 13 different statistical categories.
