Classroom
As a human biology major, Khalia Lanier is tackling a high-pressured and intense field of study while also committing to excellence in her sport. She has been a consistent performer in the classroom and set the example for her fellow classmates, teammates and student-athletes. She is on track to graduate in the spring.
Character
Lanier is a two-time team captain for the Women of Troy, a respected member of the team and the student-athlete community at USC.
Community
As a member of the USC athletic department, Lanier is a regular participant in community service projects and events set up by the department. These include visits to the children’s hospital, community rejuvenation projects and other service events held by the Trojans Athletic Senate.
Competition
As a sophomore, Lanier was chosen to the AVCA’s All-America First Team. She is a three-time Pac-12 All-Conference and AVCA All-South Region selection and also has two All-America Honorable Mention designations under her belt. Lanier is one of the Trojan’s all-time leaders in kills, points, digs and service aces and is on pace to finish in the top 10 of each of those categories at her career’s end.
