Classroom

Barrow has been solid in the classroom and is on pace to earn his bachelor’s degree in general studies in December 2013.

Character

Barrow is a high-quality individual. A quiet leader, Barrow is someone the younger players look up to because he leads with his actions on and off the field. In a vote of the Tigers’ players, Barrow was selected to wear the No. 18 jersey in 2013. Dating back to Matt Mauck in 2003, the No. 18 has been worn by a player that teammates leaned on for leadership and who best represents what it means to be a Tiger on and off the field.

Community

Barrow participated in 199 hours of community service last year with events such as Big Buddy Day of the Mentor, Christmas Party with Big Buddy youth, Touring with the Tigers, Children’s Hospital visit, and semester long commitment to the Big Buddy program in the Fall of 2012.

Competition

Barrow is the leading returning tackler from the 2012 squad. Last season in his first year as a full time starter, Barrow racked up 104 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, 5 pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries. He can play either inside or outside linebacker and he will be one of the top linebackers in the SEC as a senior in 2013. Barrow enters his final season with the Tigers having played in 38 games with 15 starts. He has recorded 139 tackles and 9.0 tackles for loss in his career.
