Lauren was the NCAA Elite 90 Co-Award Winner and an Academic All-Big 12 First Team member in 2019. In 2018, she was a member of the 2018 CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team and the Academic All-Big 12 First Team. Lauren was also on the 2017 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team. In her career, she has been on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the Fall 2016, Spring 2017, Fall 2017, Spring 2018, Fall 2018, and Spring 2019 semesters.


Lauren was the 2018-2019 Sportsperson of the Year.


Lauren has participated in numerous women’s basketball team service projects, including the Boys and Girls Club of Waco and Mission Waco. She was invited to attend Junior Diabetes Research Foundation’s “Children’s Congress” in Washington D.C. from July 8-10 as a “T1D Role Model.” Lauren participated in the meet and greet and presented awards during the keynote event. She was also selected as a speaker for the JDRF One Party fundraiser that raised $50,000 for research, treatment, prevention and cures for Type 1 Diabetes on September 30. Lauren has participated in a Stomp Out Diabetes walk during the Summer of 2018.


Lauren is a 2019-20 Preseason All-American for Lindy’s Sports, Athlon Sports, and Street & Smith. In 2019, she was a Third-Team All-American (AP and USBWA), a WBCA Honorable Mention All-American, and a member of the NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team. She was also honored as a WBCA/Naismith Katrina McClain Award Final Five, Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Award Finalist, Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, and a member of the All-Big 12 First Team and Big 12 All-Defneisve Team. In 2018, Lauren was an AP All-America Honorable Mention (AP and WBCA). She was a member of the WBCA All-Region 3 Team, All-Big 12 First Team, and was voted a Katrina McClain Award Final Five and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. In 2017, Lauren won the Big 12 Sixth Man Award and was a unanimous member of the Big 12 All-Freshman team.
