Classroom

Williams has already earned her undergraduate degree in sport management, carrying a 3.2 GPA. She was named to IUPUI’s Academic Advisor’s List five times in her undergraduate career.

She is now pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education.

Character

Williams is a two-time team captain and leader of the Jaguars program. She’s led IUPUI to 80 wins in her four seasons, including the 2020 Horizon League Tournament title. However, the season was subsequently cancelled just after the tournament win, nixing the program’s first-ever NCAA tournament berth.

As if her commitment to IUPUI as one of the nation’s Top 100 recruits wasn’t enough, Williams took a larger leap of faith during her career as she was baptized in 2020 and moved deeper into her faith. She grew closer to teammates who had strong spiritual ties, which led to her being baptized and now sharing her faith with teammates and other members of IUPUI’s Christian Student Fellowship (CSF).

Community

During her time at IUPUI, Williams has become increasingly involved with Christian Student Fellowship (CSF). One of the top initiatives from the program was a partnership with FAME, which is a medical evangelism program that helps repurpose medical supplies for those in need. She has helped sort used medical supplies that have later been shipped overseas to be used in impoverished parts of the world.

In addition, Williams and her teammates were frequent visitors to Riley Children’s Hospital prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. They visited with kids, partnered in making arts and crafts, and played games with patients.

She also helps host sports camps in her hometown of Veedersburg, Ind., which is approximately 70 miles west of Indianapolis.

Competition

Williams enters her fifth year already one of the best players in Horizon League history. She has been named the Horizon League Player of the Year three times while leading IUPUI to 80 wins over her career.

Williams has totaled 1,851 career points and 1,003 rebounds entering her final season, averaging 16.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. She closed last season ranked No. 13 in the country in active career scoring and No. 8 in active career rebounding.

She is the Horizon League’s all-time leader in Player of the Week awards (11) and was a six-time Freshman of the Week her rookie season. She was also named the league’s Freshman of the Year in 2018 and has been named to the Horizon League’s All-Tournament Team twice in her career.

Williams is already IUPUI’s all-time leader in points and ranks No. 2 on the program’s all-time list in rebounds, having led the Jags in the category every year of her career.
