Classroom

Correale boasts an impressive 3.84 GPA. She is seeking a bachelor of arts in economics, with a pre-medical concentration. Her great success in the classroom is clearly recognized by her achievements. She made the Holy Cross Dean’s List First Honors a total of six semesters, Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2007, 2008, and 2009, and was also named to the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I team. Correale was also named an Agganis Scholar.

Character

Correale leads the softball team through her hard work, dedication, and commitment to the program. She dedicates approximately 20 hours per week throughout the academic year, to practices, athletic training, weight lifting workouts, travel, and competition. Correale serves as class representative to discuss any softball-related matters with the head coach. She partakes in fund raising efforts like, t-shirt and raffle ticket sales, working concessions, and teaching youth at clinics. She has been able to balance a heavy academic workload with the rigors of athletics at the Division I level. Correale displays all of the qualities of a team player: dedication, selflessness, effective communication, hard work, fitness, determination, and good sportsmanship.

Community

A member of Best Buddies since the fall 2006 to the present, Correale has interacted and developed great friendships with adults that struggle with intellectual disabilities. She maintains contact with a buddy weekly through phone calls or letters. From fall 2007 to the present she has served on the Executive Board of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Correale participates in food and clothing drives and volunteers to help with events sponsored by the athletic department. She was an organic chemistry tutor in 2008, helping fellow students understand many of the difficult concepts that organic chemistry poses.

Competition

Correale was elected 2009 and 2010 Holy Cross team captain. She started in 46 games in 2009 and posted a .265 batting average. She finished the year second on the team in hits and third in doubles.
