Zarbo was selected as the 2012-2013 ECAC Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He has a 3.935 GPA, Civil Engineering. He has a career interest of obtaining PE (professional certification for engineers). He has interned the last two summers with the Town of Grand Island Engineering Dept. Zarbo is involved with Research on Clarkson Campus (SMART Housing project, basically researching student energy consumption in the new Woodstock dorms and ways to make students for energy conscious and efficient).

Character

An exceptional student-athlete, who competes at a high level for Clarkson’s Division I hockey team while studying in the University’s rigorous curriculum of Civil Engineering. Community

Several Volunteer Construction Projects through Akron Free Methodist Church ... Volunteer Adopt a Bear Program at Potsdam’s Lawrence Avenue Elementary School ... Several other small community service projects through Clarkson hockey (community cleanup, Potsdam’s Lawrence Avenue Elementary School Fun Night, Read to Students at Potsdam’s Lawrence Avenue Elementary School, Volunteered with kids with Autism from Potsdam’s Lawrence Avenue Elementary School)... Community Service events through Clarkson SAAC ... Senior Class Unified Brainstorming and Awareness (SCUBA) Team – Basically brainstorm, plan, advertise, and run school events that are put on by the senior class Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) - Represent hockey team to help raise funds to support campus athletics and also brainstorm, plan, and run community service projects and events
