Character

Having to sit out as a freshman was a big challenge for Michel. He was unable to practice with the team, and not being able to receive a scholarship was a financial hardship. He stuck through the year and has been a leader of the team ever since. He had several opportunities to leave Maine and play professional hockey, however decided to return for his final season. Michel’s father passed away when he was 3 years old; it was always his father’s dream that his son play hockey. This is a dream that his mother has worked hard at to come true. As a result, Michel is a very grounded and compassionate person, who takes advantage of every opportunity given to him.
