Character

Ezeigbo was named a team captain ahead of the 2019-20 season and will lead the unanimous favorite in the NEC Preseason Coaches’ Poll as the lone senior on the roster. She was Robert Morris’ female finalist for last year’s NEC Student-Athlete of the Year award, serving as one of the three lone non-senior finalists across the league. Ezeigbo plans on becoming a substance abuse counselor following her basketball career.

Community

Ezeigbo has volunteered her time to many different local organizations and events, including Go-For-The-Goal Foundation, Halloween Trick-or-Treat Spooktacular, Mooncrest Neighborhood After School Program, Heritage Valley Free Boys & Girls Basketball Clinic, Best Buddies International and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Competition

Ezeigbo has been a key figure in Robert Morris’ recent run of success, as she has competed in two NCAA Tournaments and a Postseason WNIT. She is a three-time All-NEC selection, starting with Rookie Team honors in 2016-17 before following that up with a Second Team nod in 2017-18 and First Team honor in 2018-19. Ezeigbo won NEC Defensive Player of the Year last season - the second player in program history to do so - and collected NEC Tournament MVP after RMU won its eighth league postseason crown. She ranked in the top eight of the NEC in blocks (1.4, 4th) and steals (1.7, 8th) last season - the only player to do so. As of Jan. 21, 2020, Ezeigbo ranks sixth all-time at RMU in field goals made (492) and rebounds (764), and seventh in blocks (98). She is on the cusp of breaking into the top 10 in both points (1,190) and steals (151). She has posted 21 double-doubles and 60 double-figure scoring efforts, despite only starting 60 career games. Ezeigbo is one of 12 players at RMU to have 500 career rebounds and 100 career steals, and this season could become just the fourth Colonial to eclipse 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 100 steals, and 100 blocks in a career.
