Paris Kea is on track to graduate this spring with a degree in psychology.

Character

Kea is the lone senior on the UNC roster this season and has become the unquestioned heart and soul of the team during her time in Chapel Hill. She leads her team by example on the court by continually giving support to her teammates and also never shying away from taking the critical shot or making the correct pass to set her team up for success.

Community

Kea makes it a point to spend time with young fans at games. She is routinely spotted talking with UNC fans and taking pictures as she has become a fan favorite in Chapel Hill. She also takes part alongside her teammates each year in collecting money for a local family to provide a meal during the holiday season. The Tar Heels also had the unique opportunity to visit with people displaced by Hurricane Florence this fall when a shelter opened on campus. The team spent time reading books to children, handing out team posters and posing for pictures in an effort to bring a smile to the children’s faces.

Competition

Kea was a preseason All-America selection by Street & Smith’s magazine after earning first-team All-ACC honors in 2017-18. During her time at UNC, she has scored over 1,000 points in two seasons.
