Reed Blankenship

Exercise Science


Blankenship graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He was named to the C-USA Honor Roll three times, from 2018-2020.

He is currently pursuing his MBA.


Blankenship is entering his third season as a team-captain for the Blue Raiders.

There is no better role model than Blankenship. He handles all of his business in a first class manner, both on and off the field. He possesses a tremendous attitude, is a great teammate, and is always willing to go above and beyond.


Since arriving at Middle Tennessee, Blankenship has regularly given his time to the Murfreesboro area. He is currently a member of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.

He has worked with the Boy Scouts, Special Olympics, Reading Raiders Program, and Rutherford County Boys and Girls Club. Blankenship also regularly visits special needs children at Camp Ability.


Blankenship is a three-time all-conference performer, having earned first team honors in 2018.

Heading into his senior season, Blankenship is on the verge of becoming Middle Tennessee’s all-time leading tackler. He was named to the Senior Bowl and Bednarik Award Watch Lists.
