Classroom

Bryan, an exercise science major, carries a 3.38 GPA at Hofstra. In 2018, she earned United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American second team and Scholar All-East Region first team honors.

She has has shined in the classroom, being named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll every semester. Bryan has also earned both Dean’s List and Hofstra Athletic Director Scholars honors twice.

Bryan was recently accepted into physical therapy school, where she plans on continuing her education.

Character

Since arriving at Hofstra, Bryan has been an integral part of the women’s soccer program. She is tremendous soccer player, but a wonderful person as well. Her work ethic and desire to win are second to none and she never shys away from the responsibility of carrying her team. Bryan demands maximum effort from herself at all times. She competes hard every day and is an inspiration to her teammates.

Bryan’s willingness to appease all of those around her may be her best quality. Even at a young age, her humility shows. Everyone that has worked with Bryan can attest to how respectful, polite, and well-mannered she is.

She is an exceptional leader who takes pride in everything that she does. In 2018, Bryan was awarded Hofstra’s “Ms. Pride” award. It’s given to a female student-athlete who exemplifies all aspects of being a student-athlete, voted on by the student-athlete population.

Community

Bryan has been active in the community since arriving at Hofstra. She has participated in multiple events, but spends most of her time working with Pride and Plant. Bryan plants flowers for houses in the Hofstra community.

She has volunteered at Dr. Seuss Reading Day at Gardiner Avenue Elementary School, where she read books to elementary school students.

Bryan has also worked with the Girl Scouts on National Women in Sports Day. Participating in “One Million Acts of Good,” she helped back boxes of food for less fortunate families.

Each year, Bryan volunteers with Hofstra’s move-in day, helping first year students move into their on-campus housing.

Competition

Bryan is one of the most feared forwards in the CAA, earning 2019 CAA Attacking Player of the Year honors. She tallied 11 goals and eight assists, her second straight season with 30 points. For her efforts, she also earned United Soccer Coaches All-America third team, United Soccer Coaches All-Region first team, All-CAA first team, All-CAA, and Front Row Soccer Co-Player of the Year honors.

In 2018, Bryan scored a team high 13 goals, which tied for seventh all-time at Hofstra at the time. She earned USC All-East Region and All-CAA first team honors.

Prior to the start of the 2020-21 season, Bryan’s goal total was tied for eighth and her points seventh all-time at Hofstra. She was ranked as the 50th player in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer. Bryan was also named to the 2020-21 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List.

Bryan currently has 72 career points, with 27 goals and 17 assists.
