Classroom

Schuett graduated magna cum laude with a 3.8 GPA in accounting in May 2010. She’s currently pursuing her accounting MBA. Schuett posted a perfect 4.0 in her final undergraduate semester and she’s an eight-time Dean’s List honoree. Last year she received several honors, including I-AAA Athletics Directors Association Scholar-Athlete team, CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII first team and Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete first team. In 2008 she was an honorable-mention MVC Scholar-Athlete.

Character

Schuett is a co-captain and has served as the Creighton Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) treasurer and vice president. She’s a member of the Beta Alpha Psi accounting fraternity and in 2008 earned the MVC Good Neighbor Award, which is given to student-athletes in good academic standing who demonstrate good citizenship through good sportsmanship and significant community service.

Community

Schuett ranked 12th among 232 Creighton student-athletes in community service hours during the 2009-10 academic year. She spent time at Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, Camp Fire USA and MVC’s “Just Read” campaign. Schuett also helped with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation adoption of Anna Grace Klock. FOJ is a charitable organization that improves the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors and their families, and matches a child with a college or high school sports team in their area.

Competition

As a junior Schuett was named to the All-MVC first team after leading the conference in three-point field goal percentage (.422). She set a school record by making 40 consecutive free throws and made the MVC all-tournament team. Schuett enters her senior season ranked in Creighton’s career top 10 in free-throw percentage (third, .814), three-point field goal percentage (sixth, .393), blocks (eighth, 79) and rebounds (10th, 653).
