Sam Thomas

Thomas graduated in three years with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a 3.97 GPA. Thomas is currently pursuing a master’s degree in educational leadership.

Thomas has earned 2019 Pac-12 All-Academic first team, 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District first team, and 2020 Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll recognition.


Thomas is Co-President of the Arizona Athletics Student Athlete Advisory Committee and has beena team captain since her freshman year. Thomas is one of the unquestioned team leaders, as she is willing to do anything to help anyone.

Thomas has accumulated 139 hours of community service. The Arizona women’s basketball team has had the most community service hours of any team in the athletic department in all three of the years that Thomas has been on the team.


In 2019-20, Thomas was voted to the All-Pac 12 and Pac-12 All-Defensive teams. Thomas is the only player in school history with 100 three-pointers and 100 blocks.

In 2017-18, Thomas earned Pac-12 All-Freshman team honors.

Thomas ranks in the top 10 in Arizona history in games started.
