Morris is pursuing a degree in sociology at DePaul, carrying a 3.49 GPA.

She has been named to the Athletic Director’s Association National Scholar-Athlete Team.

Character

Morris has developed a personality that allows her to easily empathize with the problems that others maybe facing. It comes from an upbringing where her parents preached the virtue of caring for others.

Morris is a respected team leader, both vocally and through her actions. She exemplifies coach Doug Bruno’s mantra to play fearless.

Community

Morris is actively engaged in helping the less fortunate and the undeserved. She has volunteered in multiple events with the Special Olympics and the Day of Inclusion at Soldier Field.

Morris has also participated with the Sheffield Garden Walk, Misericordia Home Candy Drive, Chicago Park District Fitness Fest, Hoops in the Hood, and St. Vincent de Paul Service Day.

Competition

Morris is a two-time All-BIG East first team selection. She was the league’s third-leading scorer last season, averaging 19.3 points per game.

Morris scored her 1,000th career point for DePaul halfway through her junior season. She enters her senior year having been named to the Ann Meyers-Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award Watch List.

Morris scored a career-high 36 points against Vanderbilt in a 91-74 victory this season, hitting 7-of-9 from three-point range. It was six points shy of the DePaul program record, and she was named BIG EAST Player of the Week.
