Classroom

Losby, an accounting major, holds a cumulative 3.242 during his collegiate career. Nationally recognized at Bowling Green, the College of Business offers some of the most demanding and rigorous academic programs and expectations in the country. Losby was named Academic All-MAC following the 2013 season.

Character

Losby has served as a captain during both his junior and senior seasons for the Falcons. He is also a leader on the field, as the catcher, guiding the Falcon pitching staff to their best ERA since 1979 in 2013. Following last season, Losby was given the Coaches’ Award at the end-of-the-year banquet. The Coaches’ Award is given to a Bowling Green baseball player that leads both on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.

Community

Losby is active in both the Bowling Green community as well as his hometown of Bryan, Ohio. In Bryan, Losby has routinely volunteered at youth baseball instructional clinics. In the Bowling Green community, Losby has volunteered at baseball camps in Bowling Green for the local youth. He has also helped with blood drives through the Red Cross. Annually, Losby has volunteered at the Bowling Green Senior Center, playing bingo and serving lunch to the local elderly. He also volunteered at Kenwood Elementary School’s Halloween Party last fall.

Competition

Losby was named first team All-MAC at catcher in 2013, as he batted .327 with a team high 39 RBI. He was also named second team All-Region by the ABCA. As versatile a player as Bowling Green and the Mid-American Conference has, Losby has played in 112 consecutive games, including every game during both 2012 and 2013. Had 19 multi-hit games in 2013, tied for the team lead. He also had a slugging percentage of .445, and threw out over 40-percent of base stealers—among the best marks in the MAC. Currently ranks fifth for career putouts in school history, and has earned one MAC East Player of the Week award during his career.
