Taylor McCarley has been named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll three years in a row. She has a 3.36 cumulative GPA as a psychology major.

McCarley was named a team captain in her senior season at UMBC.

Community

McCarley has participated in multiple community service events with the UMBC women’s basketball team, including New Era Academy, wrapping presents for children for The Board of Child Care, the Maryland SPCA, and other various charities.

Competition

As a junior, McCarley was named to the America East All-Conference First Team and America East All-Conference Defensive Team. She earned America East All-Conference Third Team honors as a sophomore and America East All-Rookie Team honors as a freshman. As a junior, McCarley led the team in assists (163) and steals (78), while also ranking first in scoring (15.0 png), fourth in rebounding (4.3 rpg), and sixth in the America East in scoring. She had 23 double-digit scoring games, including one 30-point effort and four 20-point games, and finished the season scoring double digits in the final 13 contests. At the beginning of her senior season, McCarley had moved into fifth all-time at UMBC in career assists (372), first in free throws made (408) and first in free throw attempts (578). As a freshman, she became the first player in program history to record a triple-double when she scored 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
