Classroom

In possession of a sparkling 3.78 GPA in special education, Huff added ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America honors in 2009, becoming the third Lady Vol (Lindsay Schutzler, India Chiles) to receive both All-America and Academic All-America accolades in the same season.  She is a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection and aspires to become a teacher post-college to work with special needs children.

Character

Huff has been the unquestioned team leader and motivator. The Saugus, California, native was runner-up in 2009 for the Miss Tennessee Award at UT’s annual VOLSCARS banquet. This award is based on all-around qualities including academics, athletics, community service, and leadership. She has also served as a weekly classroom mentor and role model for inner city students.

Community

Huff has been actively involved in charitable works within the Knoxville community. She has worked with Habitat for Humanity, Light the Night, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Gala, Teams for Toys, and a holiday dinner where she served food and helped provide clothing to the homeless. Also, Huff has helped with numerous local softball clinics for youth.

Competition

During her National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America junior campaign in 2009, Huff posted career highs in batting average, runs scored, hits, home runs, RBIs, total bases, slugging, on-base percentage, and stolen bases. She was a 2009 Top 25 finalist for the USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year award. She ranks in the top eight in Lady Vol history in career doubles, RBIs, home runs, on-base percentage, and slugging percentage. Huff won gold medals as part of the USA Softball Junior National Team at the Junior World Championship and Junior Pan Am Qualifying Tournament in 2007.
