Character

Since Dubois stepped onto campus, she filled a leadership role by leading by example. She is the first to step on the field for practice, consistently encourages her teammates and through setbacks continues to push through with hard work and high standards. Dubois is currently serving on the senior leadership group on the softball team and is often sought after for advice for events both on and off the field by her fellow teammates. The times she is required to talk to media, she only ever speaks highly of her teammates and the program, never just discussing herself and her achievements. Dubois has been the driving force of tPenn State softball’s strong culture.

Community

Dubois consistently maintains an active role in the community. She volunteers every year for Day of Caring, World Down Syndrome Day and the Penn State All-Sports Museum Trick-or-Treat event. Win or lose, she always makes sure to make time to interact with the community and fans post-game. She takes time to thank everyone for attending and happily signs autographs for fans.
