Classroom

Sibley maintains a 3.88 GPA in Accounting. He was named a CoSIDA Academic All-American last season and the conference’s Student-Athlete of the Year. He has earned the Oak Fair Dairy Academic Award in each semester.

Character

There are certain qualities that a leader possesses — courage, confidence, determination, vision, humility and a strong work ethic. Leading by example requires one to have the knowledge and skill to perform with dignity and respect for his/her team. Sibley exemplifies these leadership qualities. In sports, great teammates understand the importance and the value of each person on the team and Sibley is an excellent teammate, a marvelous athlete and a born leader.

Community

Sibley has put in time helping with the Miracle League in his hometown of Frisco, Texas. He has also helped with clothes and food drives in San Marcos, and proctored evaluations for classes at Texas State.

Competition

Last season, Sibley was voted to the ABCA All-South Central Region first team in addition to being named to the All-Southland Conference first team and Southland Conference All-Tournament Team. He set a new Texas State record with a 30-game hitting streak last season and finished the year with a .340 batting average, six home runs, 12 doubles, three triples, 62 runs scored, 37 RBI and 20 stolen bases. As a freshman, Sibley was named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American after he set a Texas State single-season record with 77 runs scored. For his career, Sibley is the Texas State record holder for runs scored. He was drafted in the 50th round of the MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals.
