Morse is a leader by example. He shows respect to everyone around him, including teammates, coaches, administration and fans.

Community

Morse has spent many hours doing community service while at Youngstown State. He has been involved in the Panerathon (a community walk/run event that raises money for breast cancer) several times. He also spearheaded an effort to deliver 60 cases of bottled water to his hometown of Flint, Mich.

Competition

Morse became just the third player in school history to be named All-Horizon League in consecutive seasons. He also became the 37th player in school history to record 1,000 career points. As of nomination time, Morse ranked 15th all-time and sixth in YSU’s Division I era with 1,421 career points and needed 579 points to become just the third player in school history to score 2,000 career points. He would be the first YSU Division I player to achieve that feat. He also needs 571 more points to became YSU’s Division I scoring leader. Morse ranks seventh with 153 career 3-pointers made and is tied for the school mark with four career 40-point games.

As a junior he was named to the NABC All-Region 12 First Team and All-Horizon League First Team after averaging 22.9 points per game, which ranked second in the league. He ranked ninth in the nation with 22.9 points per game and 260 field-goals made and 15th with 711 total points. Morse set the YSU Division I scoring record with 711 points.
