Connor Fields is a business major and on track to graduate this spring. He stands with a 3.35 cumulative GPA and is a five-time member of the UAlbany Dean’s List, including the last two semesters.

Since being mentored by Lyle Thompson, Fields has been the offensive leader of the team since his sophomore year and was named a team captain for his senior season. He is a stand-up student-athlete on and off the field, dealing with media and community engagements in the Capital District.

Fields has been part of numerous community events, both with the team and on his own. With the team, he has been involved with the No Pucker Challenge to help with awareness about Niemann-Pick Type C and in supporting JP Honsinger, a local boy who suffers from the disease. He earned 116 points as a junior, the fourth-highest scoring season in Division-I history. Throughout his career, he has earned numerous awards, including being a three-time All-American, the 2017 USILA Most Outstanding Attackman, the 2017 America East Offensive Player of the Year, a three-time America East All-Conference First Team member and the 2015 America East Rookie of the Year.
