Carraway, a May 2020 graduate, earned his degree in finance from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business. He was named to the BIG EAST All-Academic team every year since arriving at Georgetown, and was also selected to the Dean’s List once.

He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in management.

Character

Carraway, a two-time team captain, is the epitome of a lead-by-example student-athlete. He is one of the hardest working people at Georgetown, consistently striving to finish everything at the highest level.

He decided to return to Georgetown for a fifth year, further showing his character. Carraway wanted to help complete the Hoya’s shot at a National Championship, deferring a full-time position with Barclays in the process.

Community

He is a leader in the community, spearheading Georgetown’s annual Cycle for Survival team. He raises money and awareness for rare cancer patients.

Carraway also helps organize the men’s lacrosse team’s participation in the Race to Beat Cancer 5K, which supports the MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

Competition

Carraway sits in third place all-time at Georgetown with 214 points, tallying 144 goals and 70 assists. He is just the third player in program history to eclipse 200 career points, is tied for second all-time in career goals, and sits eighth in career assists. Carraway is on pace to break all three scoring marks this season.

During the shortened 2020 season, Carraway earned an Inside Lacrosse Media All-American third team selection. Prior to to the start of that campaign, he had been named an Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American, as well as a pre-season All-BIG EAST member.

For his career, Carraway is a two-time BIG EAST Champion, a 2019 USILA Honorable Mention All-American, 2019 All-BIG EAST first team and 2019 BIG EAST All-Tournament team selection. In addition, he was selected to both the 2020 and 2019 Tewaaraton Award Watch Lists.
